“I have come through the Belly of the Beast! I want to thank the Mentoring Men’s Movement, and especially Dr Martin Jones and Gorge Jurand who walked me through the process of change. Their mentorship and support have been invaluable. I also want to thank the late Joseph Lambert, who was a part of my childhood. Seeing him involved with M3 when I first came to the meeting was very inspiring. I have recently gone through Peer Mentoring training, and now I want to give back to those who are still, “lost in the wilderness”. I see nothing but light in my future and I now want to share that light with my peers.”
“I met Floyd Johnson, George Jurand, and Dr. Martin Jones when I was at a low point in my life. I had lost my business, my house, and was going through litigation with my family. I was facing challenges, which included homelessness and depression.
Going to M3 meetings and listening to their encouraging words had a big effect on me. Going to the monthly breakfast gave me a place to eat when I didn’t have money to buy food for myself. Additionally, it gave me a place to fellowship with other men and women with the same goals and aspirations.
Today, I have my jail clearance, which enables me to assist in facilitating groups. Additionally, I am a certified mentor and housing facility coordinator for RSN to help formerly incarcerated men and women. This is my way of giving back to M3 and the community.“
"M3 has truly been a catalyst in the continuation of my journey to heal the wounds of which my family and friends have suffered due to my indiscretions.
Thank you, M3 for always being there with arms open wide!"
"Mentoring Men's Movement meets men where they're at and takes them where they want to go. Just attending one of their events is a movement toward healing for everyone involved.".
"M3 is a good place to be. The support that you get is very spiritual."
"I'm very thankful to those who reached out to me when I needed help. They allowed me to grow."
"I went to the M3 Breakfast to fill my stomach and ended up filling my spirit, and my head with knowledge."
"When I shared my testimony at the Breakfast I cried because I had to go deep....and I felt nothing but support from the men there."
"I want to thank you from the deepest depths of my soul. I feel so invigorated when I am done with our session. As I walk down 6th street, one of the craziest streets in the city, I am in complete solitude where no noise or action can distract me. I am floating gracefully as if I am walking on freshly fallen snow. I am grateful for your wisdom and strength. Playing sports at the most elite level my whole life I want you to know I am beyond teachable. I want to continue our sessions regardless of how I have to make it happen. I am willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to make and keep a commitment. Above all else, this is a thank you note for opening my awareness to a new dimension. I thank you. I respect you, and I appreciate you! Have a blessed night my friend, and get over that bridge safely!
