The Mentoring Men's Movement is a 501(c)(3) organization established as a response to the question: Where are the men? We understood that far too many of our men are under the jurisdiction of the Criminal Justice System; either incarcerated or under the supervision of Probation or Parole. Consequently, many of our communities are suffering from the lack of positive role models and leadership.
The founders of the organization, George Jurand, Floyd D. Johnson, M.S., Dr. Martin Jones, and Brother Clint Sockwell officially established the organization in December of 2011. However, the founders and other members of the community under the leadership of Michael "Chappie" Grice, had been gathering for several years prior at a monthly "Men's Breakfast" where the foundation was being laid for the Mentoring Men's Movement.
